Horse Camp

This year, the girls decided that they wanted to take part in Horse Camp.  It is located about 45 min. north of where we live and so every day for a week, they spent the whole day there.  Eliana was actually paired up with a horse (actually two horses.  She switched out the first horse for the second one about mid-week.)  She helped groom the horse, saddle it, and learned how to ride it.  Karina took part in traditional day camp, where she played a lot of games, and also got to ride a horse.

At the end of the week, we went up to camp to watch Eliana in a finale called "Showdeo" (as in, a show of a rodeo.)  She came out along with the rest of her class on her horse, who was called Kahraba.
Her horse wore a bow in her mane.

Even though she'd never really ridden a horse before, we were quite impressed that she seems like a pro and seemed very comfortable on the horse.  She prodded the horse to trot and then go into a canter.
And Karina had a great time as well.
They will be going back next summer, they said!
